This is a short note to users who use InboxEx to sync Outlook with Google Calendar. Even you configured your outlook to receive emails from Google account on Outlook, you still need to configure the Google account you want to sync with from InboxEx configuration dialog window.

Many users contacted us about Google App Domain support in InboxEx. The current release doesn’t support Google App Domain accounts yet. We are currently working on it and the feature should be available in next release.
With Google App Domain support, you can use Outlook directly with your App Domain account, which is very close to using Google as Exchange server.
Also, I’d like to point out that InboxEx Google Calendar Sync is not “Only” Calendar Sync, it goes one step further than any other Google Calendar sync applications. InboxEx automatically resolves your contacts’ Google addresses if your contacts are also InboxEx users. What does it mean? It means even you share your calendar with a contact via a non-Google address, InboxEx will figure out that person’s Google address for you to make the sharing work automatically, provided that your contact is also an InboxEx User.
For Example Alex and Kevin work for 2 companies with email addresses alex@company-a.com and kevin@company-b.com. When Alex receives an email from Kevin@compnay-b.com, Alex clicks “Share my calendar with Kevin” from InboxEx, InboxEx detects that kevin@company-b.com is not a Google address, then InboxEx tries to resolve Kevin’s Google address by contacting InboxEx service. If Kevin is also an InboxEx user with a Google address configured, InboxEx automatically maps Alex’s sharing to kevin’s Google address.
All this happens at background. It may sound a bit confusing for some users, but you really don’t have to know what is going on at the background. All you know is that if you share your calendar availability to your contacts who happen to be InboxEx users, your sharing will go through if the other parties are also InboxEx users with Google address configured.
